At an altitude of 1,680 metres, Treffpunkt Zans in Val di Funes invites you to an unforgettable retreat in the heart of the South Tyrolean mountains. This newly built alpine hut combines the charm of a traditional hut with the function of a modern information point for the Puez-Odle Nature Park, offering a perfect fusion of regional delicacies and spectacular natural surroundings. Enjoy traditional South Tyrolean dishes in the cosy restaurant or on the sunny panoramic terrace: from hearty pasta and dumpling specialities to sweet temptations such as homemade apple strudel and Buchteln with vanilla sauce. And all this with an incomparable view of the majestic Dolomites.
But Treffpunkt Zans is more than just a restaurant – it’s a destination. Families will love the playground, the accessible hiking trails, the wildlife enclosure and the nearby Zannes Nature Experience Trail. For hikers, climbers and sports enthusiasts, it is the ideal starting point for hikes and via ferrata routes in summer or for tobogganing and cross-country skiing adventures in winter.
Located directly at the Zannes car park, the hut is easy to reach and combines culinary delights with exciting insights into the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The information centre in the building offers interesting facts about the unique natural and cultural landscape.

At Treffpunkt Zans you'll find a culinary experience that combines tradition and quality. Whether in the cosy dining room, which seats up to 50 guests, or on the sunny panoramic terrace, you can enjoy the homemade specialities lovingly prepared by our chef Karin. We serve hearty South Tyrolean platters, tasty soups, crisp salads and a wide selection of pasta and meat dishes. A special highlight is our Tyrolean Tris – a delicious trio of cheese and spinach dumplings and Schlutzkrapfen. For a sweet treat, try our homemade Kaiserschmarren, freshly baked apple strudel or our famous Buchteln with vanilla sauce. We also cater for our younger guests – special children's dishes are on the menu.
Whether you're here for a relaxing break after an excursion or to celebrate a special occasion – a family reunion, a birthday, a coach trip or an unforgettable moonlight tobogganing evening – at Treffpunkt Zans, we create moments of pure enjoyment that will last a lifetime. When the first snow falls and the Val di Funes is transformed into a winter wonderland, Treffpunkt Zans is the perfect place to start your magical excursions into the snow-covered mountains. Whether you're looking for active adventure or just want to soak up the tranquil winter atmosphere, there's something for everyone.
Situated right next to the toboggan run, it is the ideal starting point for a hike to the surrounding alpine pastures before speeding back down to the valley – or, for an even longer thrill, racing down to Ranui – S. Maddalena. Our tip: take the public bus to the mountain hut Treffpunkt Zans and go straight to the toboggan run. The return journey is just as easy by bus. Cross-country skiers can glide along the 2 km loop on the Zannes Alp or explore 20 km of perfectly groomed tracks in the Val di Funes. Snowshoe enthusiasts will find idyllic routes along the Adolf Munkel Trail or leading to the Kaserill and Gampen Alpes, while ski tourers will find untouched powder slopes on the Col di Poma and Bronsoi Pass.
For those without their own equipment, toboggans, snowshoes and trekking poles can be hired on site. And after an active day in the mountains, there's no better place to relax than in the cosy Treffpunkt Zans hut, where warmth and comfort await you.

Treffpunkt Zans is the perfect starting point for unforgettable adventures in the Dolomites. Situated right at the entrance to the Puez-Odle Nature Park, it is the gateway to countless hiking trails – from leisurely strolls to challenging summit tours.
Families can enjoy the gentle, accessible loop of the Zannes Nature Experience Trail or visit the wildlife enclosure, while the popular Adolf Munkel Trail offers breathtaking views of the Odle Peaks. More experienced hikers can explore Passo Poma, Medalges, Col di Poma or Sass de Putia. Ambitious climbers can try the Sass Rigais (3,025 m) or the Günther Messner via ferrata – and be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views.
The alpine landscape of Val di Funes is also a paradise for mountain bikers, offering a variety of scenic trails. Trekking poles can be hired for your adventures. After an eventful day, the panoramic terrace at Treffpunkt Zans is the perfect place to relax and enjoy homemade specialities and a spectacular view of the Dolomites.

Right on the doorstep, the accessible Zannes Nature Experience Trail and the wildlife enclosure provide fantastic opportunities for families and nature lovers to explore the area. In winter, Treffpunkt Zans is the ideal base for activities such as tobogganing and cross-country skiing, with direct access to the toboggan runs and the Zannes cross-country ski trail.
